Hi,
Just need some help if anyone can answer please.
My baby is currently 5 weeks old, he had been fussing a lot the last two days and I think it’s mainly because he couldn’t poo. I got recommended gripe water and now we’ve tried that, we only started today but I’ve noticed he’s been wheezing a bit, almost chesty like and wondered if anyone thought this was linked? Or if not, if this is normal for anyone else’s baby, I feel like everyday is rolling into one and could this have been happening before but I didn’t notice as much until now because I’m worried about using the gripe water… my partner said he is probably ill because I’ve taken him out and it’s really got me down. We live in a two bedroom flat with no balcony, I’ve taken him out for walks, to the shops and lunch as the midwife said it was okay, now I’m questioning myself? There was one day two weeks ago I had lunch outside in a restaurant with his family, it was 15 degrees and my son was wearing a vest, baby grow, hat and coat so I thought that was okay? So did his family.. do you think this could have made him chesty? I checked the baby’s temperature and it is absolutely fine, 36.7. Thank you; sorry for all the questions whoever gets stuck reading this,

I’ve not heard of taking out a young baby being the cause of illness before. When you have more babies they usually start going out pretty much straightaway. I think I was back at playgroup with DC1 and DC2 in a sling in week one of their life.

How bad is the constipation? Only asking because wheezing and constipation can both be signs of CMPA.

Cow’s Milk Allergy

Cow’s milk allergy is an abnormal response by the body’s immune system in which proteins in a food are recognised as a potential threat.
