3.5 year old struggling with anxiety- what to do next?

My 3.5 year old started at preschool in September; she attends 3 days a week, term time only. The preschool is attached to my son's school (independent).

She is still really struggling with attachment issues with me. She cries every morning she is due to go in, she won't eat breakfast. It's really sad. This morning she was so worked up she was sick.

The thing is, I am told that once she is inside she is usually okay after ten minutes. But she does wobble with transitions, so at lunch time for example. Then she won't eat lunch as she's so upset.

I have spoken to the teacher a few times. Towards the end of December, she seemed to be getting better. But since returning after this half term, it's gotten worse again.

I was meant to see the teacher last week but it was cancelled due to staff sickness, so I emailed again this morning and I'm going in Wednesday. She did also say she seems to be 'really struggling' since coming back after half term but 'enjoys her friends and activities' and that it is 'transitioning she is struggling with.'

We don't have this outside of school, sometimes if she does go to grandparents she might say 'I don't want to stay' but after I've explained I'll see her in the morning/later on she's fine. This just doesn't seem to work for preschool!

Is there anything I should be recommending when I see her teacher on Wednesday? After Easter, she has to attend 4 days, to prepare her for school in September- which is a whole different story in itself as I don't know how she will cope!

She is 4 in July- was meant to be born in August- so she is one of the younger ones.

I just feel awful and guilty that I leave her like that. I was told 'she'll get used to it' but clearly not! Any advice is welcomed. Thank you.
