My baby isn't hungry in the morning!

Does anyone one else have this? My 22 week old baby will sleep 11 hours and will wake up and refuse her bottle! I will literally be able to hear her tummy rumbling and she just could not be any less interested in eating.
She will eventually eat but sometimes it's up to an hour after she wakes up and it will be a very small amount like literally 70ml or like the other day 40ml!
She tends to drink more in the afternoon and catches up I just think it's so bizarre and I'm worried about her getting dehydrated in the morning.
Any other people who can relate or have an ideas would be most appreciated!

I don't she will get dehydrated, unless you're living somewhere very warm. She's probably just used to having more milk later.

No the weather is getting a bit better and the mornings a little lighter, I'd get her up and changed and maybe take her out side for a little walk in the garden before trying her first bottle.

The sunlight will trigger her system to buster and that this is wake time and showing her the plants and spending some time listening to you chat to her might get her appetite up a little Wink

If she is growing normally and has wet and dirty nappies I wouldn’t worry. My daughter was like this as a baby. Wouldn’t have any milk for over an hour after she wakes and I drove myself silly worrying about her feeding. She was a completely healthy baby but I think anything out with the “normal” worries us as parents! If it’s any consolation she’s 4 now and still the same! She’s very slow to get going in the morning and just won’t eat for quite a long time then she maybe nibbles half a slice of toast and she’s fine until lunch. She’s a perfect height/weight and developing perfectly. Just not a morning person!

Thanks so much for answering, thats good to hear! She's just really not a hungry baby in general to be honest it drives me crazy worrying sometimes!
She has never increased the amount she drinks from basically being 2 weeks old. Can fall anywhere between 600-800ml a day (anything high 700 is a good day).
She's gained weight normally and has wet nappies so I try not to worry I just see other babies her age drinking much larger amounts and I find it so strange she's never gotten there!

honestly if she is gaining weight as expected along her centile curve then she is taking exactly the right amount for her. Doesn’t matter if it hasn’t increased since 2 weeks old. She is listening to her own appetite and taking the exact right amount! Try not to worry about it. I wish I could go back and give myself a shake, I really regret spending so much of my daughter’s first year anxious about everything!
