Star Wars. He wants to be Darth Vader when he grows up.

Methinks this is a bad thing. Although I am rather pleased that he doesn't want to be Luke Skywalker.
He certainly has the temper to make a good go of it, and I do sometimes wonder if he is heading toward the dark side

Actually probably not his favourite film as he actually prefers the disney Robin Hood and Peter Pan, but he does want to be Darth Vader.

Madagscar, Finding Nemo and Cars but he changes like the wind...

leoleo · 10/05/2008 15:11

my ds pretty muchj the same - Toy Story 1 and 2 all time favourites. Then Cars, Nemo and Incredibles - all the pixar films.

Also enjoying DuckTales at the moment and Alivin and the Chipmunks.

thegrowlygus · 10/05/2008 15:14

ah - had forgotten the obvious ones!! Yes, Toy Story 1 & 2 and the Incredibles are huge faves here. Indeed the whole Zurg being Buzz's father led onto the Star Wars thing (much to Daddy's delight!)

eenybeeny · 10/05/2008 15:19

robots! robots! robots! and mousie (old mickey mouse)

Acinonyx · 10/05/2008 19:32

Madagascar, Alice, Winnie the pooh, Jungle Book. Finding Nemo was too scary!

McDreamy · 10/05/2008 19:33

Cars, Nemo, Bee Movie

TheArmadillo · 10/05/2008 19:48

was shrek, then madagascar, then bugs life and now ICe Age 2.

chipo · 10/05/2008 19:51

Ice age, then monsters inc, then finding nemo

tribpot · 10/05/2008 21:18

We just rotate through Pixar on a weekly basis, with a little Shrek and Shark Tale thrown in for good measure. His keyworker at pre-school said "aren't his language skills good?" I didn't have the heart to reply "yes, because I let him watch too much telly" ...

Robots, Bee Movie, Madagascar, we haven't started on yet!

JohnsonsIsBest · 10/05/2008 21:28

wow i can't believe how many similar ones there are!
not much call for Robots then, just eeny! DS loves it to death, but yeah i guess its Pixar who have tapped into the mind of our children, how'd they do it?

Jungle Book it's how I get a shower, sling it on in the bedroom jump in en-suite shower (can see them and the TV) they don't move for about half an hour.

Smithagain · 10/05/2008 21:33

Are these seriously toddler favourites? My 5yo gets scared at several of these films!

jingleyjen · 10/05/2008 21:35

pixar films
cars
shrek

but he is 4 so don't think he counts as a toddler

DS2 is 19 months and hasnt seen any films

terramum · 10/05/2008 21:37

Toy Story & Toy Story 2

accessorizequeen · 10/05/2008 21:37

Yeah, my ds couldn't watch most of this stuff and he's 4.5 (I was thinking of renting Finding Nemo but maybe not!). His cousin watches Jaws every week ! Happy Feet and (Disney) Peter Pan top watches here but even then I have to come running in if the crocodile appears!

Smithagain · 10/05/2008 21:49

Accessorizequeen - Finding Nemo was non-stop horror movie as far as DD1 was concerned! She watched it at four and it is just one perilous situation after another. She did watch it right through - and then once more before we sent the DVD back. But she wouldn't watch it without me right there to hold her hand!

accessorizequeen · 10/05/2008 21:57

Sounds just like my ds, Smithagain! We got one of the muppet movies for a reward chart treat and I was glued to his side for the whole thing answering questions and holding his hand. I wouldn't mind but I use tv as a babysitter like everyone else whilst ds2 is having a nap. One I really like and he does too is Vegetales, has anyone else come across these, they're bouncy vegetable characters and it's really funny. One about the True Meaning of Christmas?

ds2, who's 17 months, hasn't watched any tv so far. No interest whatsoever. I should be pleased, but I've got twins due in October so I will need tv to get through it!

Wezzle · 10/05/2008 22:15

DD2 (2.8) loves

The Wizard of Oz (or the Wizza de Boz as it's known in chez Wez)

Mary Poppins
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the original) and
The Grinch

Have seen all of these almost daily since Christmas.

We're all now word perfect

Nighbynight · 10/05/2008 22:42

Finding Nemo is quite scarey, actually.

Joash · 10/05/2008 22:44

Athough he is 5 now - from the age of 2 he was obsessed with "Cats and Dogs". Now, oddly enough, it varies between "Bambi" and "Return to Neverland"

ClareVoiant · 10/05/2008 23:07

Toy story 1 and 2 for ds voiant. Closely followed by thomas and the magic railroad, then shrek 1, 2 and 3 and finding nemo. He will watch the whole of toy story or thomas, if he's in the right mood, but kinda loses interest in the middle of the others, then comes aback to them towards the end the end of the story. He's 2 1/2

SixSpotBurnet · 10/05/2008 23:12

Oh, DS2 was obsessed with Thomas and the Magic Railroad when he was little!

bran · 10/05/2008 23:18

Finding Nemo (from about 18 months, he's now nearly 4), Toy Story 2 (he keeps asking for Toy Story 3 and doesn't believe me when I tell him there isn't one), all the Shreks and My Neighbour Totoro
