Toys for 1 year old with likely Cerebral palsy

My baby will be one soon. He is very small (5.5kg) and very likely has cerebral palsy affecting the lower part of his body. Doing physio etc and hoping for the best but therapy team seem quite sure he has it. I was looking for ideas for birthday presents but a bit stuck due to his physical development as to what to get him.
He has a jumperoo which the physio does not recommend and he loves it but we hardly use it because we are aware therapy team do not like them. Just looking for ideas as all the toys for 1 year olds are obviously to be aimed at babies much bigger and more able than my baby. He is very engaging and bright and the loveliest most content little boy. Might be overthinking present things! Any advice welcome xx

How delayed is his physical development? Can he use his hands at all? I'm guessing that he is not able to sit yet?
My DS2 had quite significant delays (not CP but he was floppy with visual delays too) and we bought toys that encouraged him to reach out and also anything that encouraged him to roll, or move.
Sensory balls, toys that move away from him , anything that encourages him to reach out and to stretch his limbs :)
DS2 loved being chucked around even when he couldn't move that much by himself...we had something similar to this

Montessori Busy Boards are also fab (you can support him if he doesn't have a special seating yet)
Musical instruments.. things to bash !

I work with children who have physical disabilties and we try to simply adapt and find ways of giving them every day fun , even the tiny ones (not as young as your son tho :D )

My DS was the youngest of four so he got chucked around by his siblings and I swear it was the best therapy of all Grin
PS DS2's best friend (since they were 4) has CP, affecting all four limbs and his speech (tricky to understand til you've tuned in ) and while he uses a wheelchair and can only take steps supported, he does everything... plays disability football and cricket, has great friends and pretty typical life :)

Thank you so much for your reply. He is using his hands and will hold and grab toys. We are waiting for some specialist equipment to enable him to sit/stand which will allow him more access to play. I guess the things id normally buy for a 1 year old would be things like push along walkers/sit on rockers etc. I might be overthinking.
So nice to hear about the little lad. My biggest worry is that my baby will miss out on things so this is lovely to hear ☺️
