Different behaviour depending on the parent at school drop off

I was just wondering if anyone knows the rationale behind the behaviour when different parents drop off their children at school.

I find my 5 year old is very different depending on whether my husband or I drop him off. With me he is calm and runs in, says goodbye mummy and skips in, but with my husband he is clingy, emotional and adamant he doesn’t want to go.

Why is this? Does he have a better secure attachment with husband? Is it how I act and my husband act towards him?

My husband has spent a lot of time with my son whilst growing up thanks to a generous parental work scheme.

How can we help my son feel calmer with his dad? Thanks

I find that boys are more clingy to their dads, mine is the same I think it's the routine. Say if you usually take him in then dad does he might think that something is wrong. I have been told get his dad to give him something to keep all-day and keep safe so that when Daddy picks him up he has something to give back, it gives them a sense of responsibility.
