18 months nap times

My daughter (currently 17 months old) wakes at about 6 each day and currently naps about 4 and a half hours after waking. I have the opportunity to work from home for a few hours a couple of days a week but I NEED to commit to three hours each day now (can't change hours for the next six months so once I commit I'm committed). It's teaching so I need a 15 min gap between lessons so can't back to back them. I can't start earlier than 9:30 am as my mum can't get to be until then.

I can't for the live of me figure out what her nap time is likely to be for the next year or so as everything I look at is different.
Should I be pushing her nap until the afternoon? Should she nap at midday? Or is napping at about 11 appropriate? Any advice or experience that you can give would be REALLY appreciated!

So are you expecting to teach while she naps? Surely not?! What if she wakes early etc? Or have I misunderstood?

It's just impossible to predict with accuracy as children's nap times can change all the time. Plus her wake up time may adjust then naps adjust accordingly.

Having said that, if it helps, my 18 month old wakes similar time and does well with an early lunch at 11.15 then a nap around 11.45/12 start time.

Sorry that I wasn't clear. No, my mum will be with her but I breastfeed to sleep for her naps and so would like to continue until she is two if possible.

What I don't understand is whether she is likely to in the morning as she currently is or will she be likely to nap later and later?
I see mother and baby groups that run from 10-11 for example so surely most kids of that age must nap later than mine?

Ahh OK. I get it now! It is probably more my reading comprehension, sorry. Yes, I think the naps get gradually later.

I totally understand as I often BF my little one to sleep too, though she has pram naps when I am at work. Personally I am trying to push my daughter's later at the moment as I find that then she wakes up a bit later too.

I would say it's hard to completely predict but as she gets closer to 2, perhaps it'll gradually get later till it's like 1pm ish. Apparently the best sleep comes from a shorter second wake window. With my own daughter I am planning on sending her to nursery at age 2 then getting her to nap around 1pm.

But it's all a bit tricky to predict!

Sorry I mean when she's at nursery in the mornings I will have to shift the naps later. I think that's normal for two year olds. There are a few rough guides online but obviously it does differ.

Thank you. That's really helpful.
