9 month old refusing solids! Help!

My 9 month old has randomly started refusing all food since Sunday, the day before she would eat her food fine and then Sunday came and she has been refusing everything. She won't even try the food she starts turning her head as soon as the spoon comes near her. All she will eat is the melty sticks or melty wafers or crisps 🤷🏻‍♀️ we took her to the doctors and had her temp etccc checked and she doesn't appear to be ill she is acting herself she's just not wanting to eat . We have noticed she has two canine teeth coming. It is beyond stressing me out.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Canines are really sore when - it's probably that - give her soft food like mash and porridge - the more you appear stressed the less likely she will be to eat so try to relax about it!
So tough! Good luck!

Thanks for your response! I really hope it is the teeth causing this. It's just strange that she doesn't seem to be in any pain or discomfort just refusing food. I am trying to keep calm but as you can imagine it is hard 😬

Babies will often appear to live off fresh air for a few days, especially when they're teething. She'll just catch up when she's feeling a bit better.

Try some Ibruprofen, it's much better than Calpol for dental pain and a teething gel like Dentinox.

You could try some cool cucumber, some homemade ice lollies, melon or just a cool, clean, wet flannel to chew on.

Thankyou I will try , we have been giving Calpol, hoping this all clears soon. She just doesn't seem to be in any pain or discomfort which I thought she would be if teething

Does she improve at all after the Calpol? And will she feed herself?

If you're offering melty things or crisps she might just be holding out for the UPFs though Grin

We havnt noticed much of a difference after Calpol!

If Calpol isn't making much of a difference she might just be holding out for some foods she prefers. If she doesn't eat a meal i would assume she's not hungry and clear away. She'll soon get used to the idea that nothing she likes better is going to magically appear Wink
