Autism - stimming and not answering to name

Did anyone else's toddler stim and not end up autistic?

My boy is 20 months old, he's the most happiest little boy but I have concerns he has autism, in fact I saw a video the other day about toddlers with autism and he does the exact same things

It's so confusing because my HV says that they cannot even look into autism until they are around 2/3 years old because it could be normal development , so I just wondered how other people's toddlers acted and if any of this could be normal behaviours

He flaps his arms and kind of blows raspberries and shakes his head when he's exited, he also rotates his ankles in the high chair

Stomps side to side sometimes if he's watching tv

He only answers to his name sometimes (not very often it's like he's too engrossed)

He doesn't say any words still, only babbles

He eats pretty well I would say (just doesn't like things like cake/chocolate but basically everything savoury and fruit)

He sleeps great

His eye contact is good but I do find it hard to get his attention sometimes

If I play with him he's not that interested but if I say start stacking blocks he will help me but he won't ever bring me toys etc.

Very loveable and loves to hang onto my hand a lot after recently having my second baby

He laughs a lot and over all is very chilled out

He definitely has red flags for autism, someone actually say to me the other day that things like cocomelon are very overstimulating and he is loads worse when watching that so we are completely cutting it out and if he does watch tv (normally just if he's eating) then it's will be bluey or ms Rachel as he's never too bad with them

I guess I'm just looking for other people's experiences with toddlers with and without autism, I feel like im analysing everything he does when some maybe developmental behaviour, as I said my HV has only put us on a list for speech development classes and said that if he's still doing these things past two they will put me on a waiting list

Thank you so much

He honestly sounds fine to me. Those videos are a nightmare - often they are very generalised and non specific, pretty much all babies and toddlers have repetitive behaviours, it’s the growing out of it that matters. If your son is ND there is nothing you can do to change this and I think it would be best to do less research and enjoy him!
