Working from home and not putting baby into childcare

Hello

I need some advice regarding my situation...

I am currently working from home 3 days a week and so is my husband. We have a 10 months old baby. For the 3 days we work from home, we keep her inside the house, with a walk over lunchtime.

I try to go to two sensory classes per week and we take her swimming over the weekend. Am I doing enough to stimulate my baby? I feel guilty we keep her inside the house those 3 days a week.

Should I be considering nursery when she is over 1 year to stimulate her? I keep on reading that nursery is only beneficial for toddlers over 2 years.

Any advice?

I'd be more worried about how you can both be effective with a bath in the house? Woukd using a CM or having a Nanny for the days you work be an option if you don't want to put them in Nursery?

The research does says that Nursery isn't really beneficial until they're older, the ones I've read say 3 but most people don't have the option of living on one wage sadly.

What are you doing with the baby while you work? Unless you are self-employed you shouldn’t be working from home while looking after a baby. You really need to sort out some sort of childcare while you work. Nothing wrong with nurseries in my opinion. I like that DD has a chance to be around other children and do messy play type activities which are a hassle to set up at home especially when they have short attention spans at that age - much easier to try them at nursery!
