This is my second thread on this, but my first is specifically about whether DS could have glue ear, this is more a general post about what will happen now?

Or two year two month old is not really speaking and has been referred to SALT. I'd just like to know a little more about what happens next? He was premature and spent a while in neonatal. We talk, sing and read to him. We point out everything.

In my experience you'll need a hearing test to rule out Glue Ear. Have they also been referred for a Hearing Test? You may be able to self refer in some areas Flowers

@PolaroidPrincess thsnk you. I don’t think they have referred to hearing test, no. I don’t know how to self refer

In some areas you can self refer, to do this contact the pediatric audiology department at your local hospital. Some ask for a GP referral but others will just add you to the list.
It can be a long wait so it's definitely worth getting on the list.

My DD is 3 and has glue ear she is also under SALT.

And if they won't add you onto the list, your HV can refer first a hearing test. Like the PP said, waiting lists can be king so best to get referred as soon as you can Wink
