Mine too. Holidays have been grim in places.

Grumpiness always seems to be related to tiredness and hunger, but I can't KEEP feeding them meals at bizarre times and sending them to bed early. Can I??!!

A £2.50 box of new Playmobil worked wonders yesterday. Gave it to them and told them to go and teach their Playmobil people to ride their new horses. Didn't see them again for an hour!

Today we are going OUT - definitely agree with the fresh air and exercise plan.

Looking forward to Monday. DD1 will be cross about returning to school, but she's been picked to go on a special outing on Tuesday, so hopefully a spirit of excitement will descend pretty soone.

Actually, having thought about it - grumpiness in the DCs does almost always correspond with tiredness in me. I've found that me going to bed an hour early makes them seem immensely more reasonable. Perhaps we'll all go to bed at 7 tonight!

A walk in the woods usually does it.

we do go in the fresh air every day, for my sanity as much as theirs, and the dog too!

i am hoping more outdoors will improve things all round.

Not working here . Took the DCs out for a picnic at the park - generally a guaranteed hit. DD2 started tantrumming 5 minutes after we arrived, because I suggested it might be appropriate to eat a sandwich before launching straight into the cake. That was 2.5 hours ago. She slept for an hour from 1:15 to 2:15, but other than that, she's been screaming the whole time.

This is either the tantrum to end all tantrums, or there is something wrong with her. But I've had enough for now so I've come for a bit of sanity-inducing MN.

DD1 has very sensibly gone to play outside where she can't hear her sister
