ds1 does it when he wants to poo

don't take it too seriously

i just tell him it's not a nice thing to say

Iklboo · 16/04/2008 13:54

Ds says this occasionally. We tell him it's not a nice thing to say and it makes mummy/daddy feel sad

Tutter · 16/04/2008 13:55

sometimes he's already started

picture a 2yo, slightly hunched over, looks up at you, red-faced, puts a hand up and growls in a scary-monster-type voice "go-way-mummmmmmeeeee"

cheesesarnie · 16/04/2008 13:57

ive told him its not nice.i worry because he does say it clearly!tutter do you leave him(no idea how old your ds1 is)when he askes?my ds2 is doing it when pooing too-i stand back so in not in his face!but thinking maybe he wants privacy but i cant leave a 2 year old can i?

We have had following convo:

DD: Go away, Mummy.
Me: Why dd? Are you going to do something naughty?
DD: Yes, I am going to push the baby over.

lol

walkinlikeacowboy · 16/04/2008 14:03

Wish DS1 (5 yo) would like privacy when he's doing a poo - DS1 thinks when he's sitting on the loo that this is a perfect time to have a conversation! He likes the company while he's taking his time over his toilet habits

fishie · 16/04/2008 14:04

i get "just be quiet, ok? stop talkin' please" with a little hand held up. usually does shut me up too

thebecster · 16/04/2008 14:04

at Kathyis... Genius!

We're getting this from DS too (22 mo)
I've just been ignoring it, if it's not sensible for me to go away. But if he's not going to come to any harm, I do go away. But we have a tiny, tiny flat. So short of going onto the fire escape I can't go far.

Tutter · 16/04/2008 14:04

[shame]

no, this is when he's wearing a nappy

wt - will do... (he loves nursery now [touch wood])

cheesesarnie · 16/04/2008 14:06

Kathyis6incheshigh
walkinlikeacowboy-thats what we get from ds1.
fwiw dd just goes!

thanks-i'll keep saying its not nice thing to say and try to give him privacy.i cant remember a thing with dd and ds1 so no idea if they went through this-im sure they must have!

i miss nappies-atleast then i didnt have to run him upstairs every 2 minutes because he thinks he wants to go but really just wants to look at the plastic ducks.
