Favourite grand parents

Is it normal for a 2/3 year old to favour one set of grand parents over another?

Our parents have our daughter two days a week each.
In the mornings whilst we are getting ready she will ask where we are going. When we say she is going to my parents she gets upset and sometimes cries and says no, refusing to get dressed. She used to refuse to get in the car but at least now gets in.
When we arrive she seems on the whole perfectly happy. (Sometimes still sad).

On a flip side if we say she is going to my in-laws she gets excited. I'm baffled.
Both sets of grand parents are warm and friendly and love her dearly. I dare not tell my parents and hoping it will pass.

I know my parents are quite "educational" with their play as we always get photos and updates of what she's been doing, learning letters, numbers, etc which my daughter enjoys at home too.
When it comes to my in-laws we get quite vague info about what they do and sometimes no info at all but when I drop her off she's straight to doing jigsaws with grandad quite happily.

Is this a phase? Or just pure favouritism?

Why are they doing numbers and letters with such a young g child? I'd gently ask them to stop. She'll be in school long enough and they aren't doing her any favours.

She can count to 30 and knows the alphabet by heart so I'd say there is nothing wrong in that regard. We do it at home too with her toys.
