16 month old development

My DS has just turned 16 months and I'm just wondering if I should be concerned about his development. I'm a FTM so not experienced.
Milestones he's hit and when:
Sitting unaided - 10/11 months
Clapping - 10 months
Pulling to stand - 11/12 months
Cruising with furniture - 13/14 months
Pointing - 10/11 months
He rarely waves.
He answers to his name, smiles and laughs and is attached to those close to him.
He babbles a lot but can only say mama and dads and occasionally nana but not sure if he actually associates that with his nana.
He's just started to walk holding onto our hands for support. He hasn't taken any steps independently yet.
The thing I'm most concerned with is the walking and talking, although the walking does appear to be progressing as he's eager to walk holding onto my hands now.
I keep trying to encourage talking but he mostly just babbles.
Should I be concerned? Any tips to help with his talking is also appreciated:)

It sounds like he's been on the slower end with some milestones (but not with others, he was quite early to point for example), but has generally got there with the typical range. Did you have a one year or 14 month development review?

If you want an overview of his development, https://www.socfc.org/SOHS/Disabilities%20Mental%20Health/ASQ/ASQ%203%2016%20Months.pdf is the questionnaire the health visitors usually use. Do check the scoring sheet at the back – they never expect 6 out 6 yeses in a section for 'development appears on track'. One or two sections in the grey is quite common, but more than that or in the black and I'd ask your HV for a review.

Walking, if he cruises and has starting walking holding your hands, he's well on his way and the HV probably won't be interested until he's at least 18 months, unless there are other reasons to be concern.

With talking, the range of 'typical' at this age is huge. How is his understanding? Does he understand things like 'let's go in the garden?', 'where's teddy?', generally recognise the words for favourite foods, toys, places, people? He's using some gestures, babbling, and has a couple of words, so if his understanding is on track, then the words will very likely follow.
