Jumperoo - worried about DD’s physical skills in it

Hi,

DD is 6 months old in 6 day’s time.

I’ve bought her a minnie mouse activity station, similar to that of a Jumperoo. She can’t sit straight in it, she hangs back. She doesn’t bounce and barely reaches for the toys.

I remember DS being completely upright and bouncing in his jumperoo at 6 months, i’m just wondering if by now she should be able to sit upright with the jumperoo support and if she needs to be checked over?

She can’t hold on to toys tightly, her grip is weak in general. She rolls from back to front, but not front to back. She hates tummy time!

When laying flat she does grab toys that dangle from the playmat (And tries to eat them) And she constantly has her fists in her mouth.

She babbles plenty, social smiles a lot, and people always tell me how “alert” she seems. Eye contact is very good and she responds to her name.

It’s rare that she properly laughs, it’s more of a quiet chuckle - again, not sure if this is an issue?

For context, I saw a private physio with her about 5 weeks ago as she has lots of tension in her body from a tongue tie that’s been revised. Physio checked for things like cerebral palsy etc.. and believed my baby is fine but riddled with body tension, particularly in her arms, so we are doing exercises for that at the moment.

I’m thinking does she need to see a physio again due to the weak grasp of toys, not really bringing them to her mouth, and of course not sitting up straight in jumperoo?

Was supposed to start weaning this week but I’m not sure she’s ready as the only things she physically puts in her mouth is her hands.
