She does it constantly and i am at the end of my tether, just completly lost my rag and screamed at her, I don't normally for accidents but she has them 2 or 3 times a week and is 4.5yo.
I am at the end of my teher with her, has been whinging and missy all day, I have been trying so hard not to shout and after only 2 days I am back to screaming mummy. She is just so trying.
Is it normal for 4.5yo to wet herself so much, i have so much anger inside at the moment anyway and i can't work out why and she just presses every single button, almost like she goes out of her way to wind me up.
I know she doesn't it just feels like that most of the time.
Anyway, now please shout at me for being such a grumpy miserable old bag who doesn't appreciate what she has got.
I do love my babies very dearly I just needed to rant.

hi Cherry, so sorry you are feeling like this (did the rant help?). No insights or advice to offer, but much sympathy - and I'm sure some of the other lovely people on this forum will make helpful suggestions.

Hi Cherry, I do understand your frustration .. My DS was wetting 2-3 time a day until he was 4 and then he went to school and suddenly it was as if something clicked in his head. maybe change of routine or peer pressure????.

Wetting 2 to 3 times a week is a bit unusual but not unheard of, is she very adsorbed in her activities when she has accidents?. Is she constipated at all? This was one of my sons problems and it seems to confuse the signals for him. Also is she drinking squashes because they can be diuretic and bring on a very sudden urge to wee which takes them by surprise.
Other than that for your own sanity you could just try getting her to put her own wet things in the washing machine and getting new knickers etc herself.
The one thing to check is she hasn't got a urine infection but I think she would be in discomfort if she did have one but it is best to rule this out.

Good luck, it will get better

Hi, thanks for the replies, the rant really helped. I am not really fed up with her just fed up of throwing stuff away because it has been weed on. She does go and change herself, often tries to cover up, she has really bad excema and it actually hurts her a lot when she has an accident so I thought that would encourage her.
She has ceoliacs and my mum read something that said if you suffer from a long term stomach problem the brain can actually block signals to stop you feeling pain all the time, I really shopuld be more tolerant, oh well today is a new day and we are going to have fun.

Cherry, hope you and DD have a lovely day - don't know where you are but here in London is it delightfully mild and bright. Wishing you all the patience you need and and end to eczema and accidents for DD!
