Looking for words of wisdom

I am really struggling with my nearly 7 year old. They are a very dominating character and short of a better phrase, very controlling. Being in control is their safe place.

Unfortunately this breeds a lot of behaviours that are not acceptable - either form a parents POV or with her peers.

They have to be right about everything. Even when it is clearly wrong they will not back down: they cannot take accountability for anything and are not particularly kind spirited.

From a distance, people always comment on how confident and smart they are and how they are a natural leader - which is true but it’s the negative way this comes across that is really starting to impact many relationships.

School have commented several times that they are concerned that they are going to seriously struggle with friendship groups and being left out because of being too overbearing. Anytime you try to address these things with they just argue back/ refuses to engage in the conversation and generally blames everyone else.

I am really worried about developing this personality will lead to being isolated

Being in control is their safe place.
really?

What hobbies / activities do they have? How do they play?

I might be wrong. that's just how I see it and teachers have used a similar phrasing before. maybe it's a fear of failure type thing?

we do gymnastics, swimming lessons, drama / singing classes and plays cricket in the summer months. Not so interested in role play type games when at home, more enjoys board games, puzzles, arts and crafts. On play dates etc will do more role play type games and I can see them itching to be able to choose the direction of where the game is going. Gets cross when friends don't want to play the way it is on their head. With board games though doesn't care about losing
