Hi not really sure where to post this but when did you first get your Dc's hair cut? My DD is 14 months and i am being presurised by family to cut her hair, to be honest the front is very long and if not clipped back she pretty much cant see. She doesnt have a natural parting yet so it wont lay to the side however the long bits are from quite far back on her head so wouldnt even be her fringe. I can no longer put a clip in it as she pulls it straight out so ive taken to tieing it in little bunches which she hates me to put in but very soon forgets they are there. should i just give in and take her to the hair dressers?

I had my DD's hair cut about two week's ago at the age of 20 months. Like your DD, my DD's hair won't lay to one side. I had had a couple of goes at cutting her fringe myself (first time at around 10 months) but we both hated it and it was always wonky. However, I was really amazed at how well she behaved at the hairdressers (much better than she did for me). Perhaps it was because we had a bit of a wait and I pointed out to her the other children having their hair cut. She did end up sitting on my lap though.

I would recommend the hairdressers but don't do it just to keep your family quiet.

DD was bald as a coot until about 2.5 - 3, so she didn't have a trim until she was about 3.5 / 4 years old.

my dd had her first hair cut at around 8/9 months but she was born with a lot of hair and it grows fast!! The hairdresser will be able to put a fringe in and make it look a lot neater and tidier.

Hmmm, I haven't yet and DS is 2.2 yrs old.

He's got very cool thick long blond curls and I can't bear to cut them. He's looks like a toddler version of brazilian 70's footballers -

DP is getting a bit fed up and threatens to do it himself as he thinks DS looks like a girl, which is probably true, but I just can't do it.

Sorry not much help there....

fm I love little boys with long hair, I was thinking about it the other day and broached the subject with dh, I thought he would be dead against it but said he is quite happy that if/when we have a ds for him to have long hair, how lucky am i

Also dd does look absolutaly adorable with bunches on top of her head which is prob why im quite reluctant to have it cut, do you think im cruel putting them in? It does upset her but only for a matter of seconds

My dd had her first haircut just before Christmas , she had just turned 5 . There is still not enough to clip back or put in bunches.
Maybe that will happen by the time she is a teenager.

7 months - dd born with LOADS of hair and by that time had a wierd mullet at the back. Luckily have a hairdresser friend and she is now (at 3) totally at home with hairdressing, washing, plaiting, combing etc.

I would go for it, just hope you get a better hairdresser than the one who gave me a lopsided fringe when I was about 5. My mum cried!
