Is my 12 month old developing normally?

Hi everyone ☺️

This is a really weird post but I just wanted to see if my daughter is developing normally. My son has a genetic condition and suspected asd and has serve delays so I don't know what's considered normal but my little girl turned one at the end of October and she's army crawling around, she's trying to crawl properly but falls so we are in physiotherapy just to help her with her core strength but she gets around.

She's started trying to climb up the sofa and stairs, she isn't standing yet but is high kneeling.

She's also saying a few words like mama, dad, cat, dog, car, down and out, she also copies gestures so if I blow her a kiss, she'll blow one back and she copies like miss Rachel on telly and says the things she saying so when she pauses my daughter will say the word like out etc

She plays like with a baby doll, feeds it a bottle and burps it (its really cute haha)

She also does the actions to songs like round a round a gardens etc

Does this all sound normal for her age? Like say, I have no reference to what is normal for her age and just wanted to know if we're on the right lines.

I'm asking because we are due to see the paediatrian about her development and whether we need to test for the genetic condition but don't know if it's normal development.

Hello!
Beside her gross motor milestones she sounds very good (if not even adavanced with 7 words) for a 12 months old!

I would agree that she sounds a little behind on gross motor – but you're already in physiotherapy for that – but like she's doing brilliantly on communication and social skills.

If you want an overview, these are the questionnaires the health visitors use: https://www.broomfieldpediatrics.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/ASQ-3-12-Mo-Set-B.pdf (12 months) and https://www.broomfieldpediatrics.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/ASQ-3-14-Mo-Set-B.pdf (14 months). There should be a scoring sheet at the back – they never expect 6 'yeses' in a section, usually more like 4.
