ADHD with asd

Hello everyone,
I need some advice, my daughter has Extremely high autism with ADHD and turners syndrome. My daughter is 10 years old and is awaiting for a EHCP plan in school.

She is currently having issues in school that is affecting her so much that I'm thinking about removing her from school.

Basically there is a child in her class that is having fits on a daily basis which is causing a trigger for my daughter I have spoken to the school which has basically said there is nothing they can do. The school knows about the circumstances and professionals have both wrote and phone the school to explain that they must do something about it as it is mentally affecting my daughter and causing a trigger. The only problem is it's a small school with only one class in each year.

I have asked the school if they could support home learning while my daughter awaits for a EHCP but all I keep on getting back is they don't see the issue or there is no issues in school but they can see a difference in our daughter which only started on the same day this child started having fits in class before that day my daughter was very happy, smiling all the time, singing, dancing on a daily basis. The child that is fitting in class is not just scaring my daughter it's scaring the whole class but what I'm surprised about the whole thing is the school seems to be supporting everything around this one child over other children with complex needs and disabilities.

I've explained that autistic children don't show emotions and have handed the school multiple books that cams have provided the school but again the school is just not listening.

It's now got to the point my daughter is hyperventilating before school each and every day and I'm now at a loss on what to do with the school, what are my rights can the school support teaching a child from home or do I need to remove my daughter completely and home educate her.

Its took me years for the school to agree in applying for a EHCP but I don't want to lose the chance on getting my daughter in a specialised school. I have already had too pull out my oldest daughter from school for the same reasons who is also extremely autistic and as a result we have lost all chance on any support or place in a special school for our oldest.

Don’t deregister and EHE. If DD cannot attend school because of her SEN/MH the LA are the ones with responsibility for ensuring provision is provided. You could have requested an EHCNA yourself.

If you want a SS for DD1 you need to request an early review of her EHCP and inform the LA you no longer wish to EHE. You haven’t lost all chance of a SS.

Thank you for your reply that's the problem the EHCP has only just been applied for and the school is not even trying to sort the issue out and no one ever told us we could applied for it our self we only found that out after the school agreed to apply for it.

The only way my daughters mental health can improve is not seeing this other child having fits in class it is a trigger to her and as you know with autistic children it can cause alot of issues but when the trigger is happening daily the situation is alot worse. Which puts the school and us in a situation that only gives us one option and that's removing her from school.

I was hoping the school could support her education and allow her to do her work from home but they don't seem interested in supporting that at all while we await a decision on her EHCP.

If DD2 can’t attend school it is the LA not the same who is responsible for providing education.

When I mentioned an early review of the EHCP in my last post I meant DD1’s EHCP, she presumably has one since you mentioned SS.
