Anyone not too concerned about regularly checking baby's weight/progress?

My bloody mother in law is driving me nuts with her continuous questions about how much my baby weighs. (so that she can brag about the weight to her crony friends)

This is my 2nd baby and it sounds a bit slack, but I dont much like to queue up and strip my baby down and get them weighed because I look at my babies and think - they look perfectly healthy to me, and feel quite sturdy, fill nappies, drink well etc.

Yet I see so many mums at the doctors surgery with equally healthy looking babies of all ages and I wonder if Im just being careless.

Is there something I am missing here?

um, I'm on baby no 3 and I think I've had her weighed about 4 times, something like that! But I'm happy that she's growing and if she was ill I#d take her straight to the docs!
