DS1 is 9 and does himself

DD is 5, DS2 is 3 and DS3 is 21 months and i leave them all on their own for short periods of time while i'm upstairs sorting things out, putting clothes away etc

i don't need to ask mine to make noise they just do!

My girls are 4 and 6, and I leave them, but stay on the same floor. I make them sing to me, so I know they are OK.
Poor kids, I make them sing to me in public loos to, as I think if I can hear them, they must be OK, and they are getting too big for us all to squeeze into the same cubicle now!

We dont have a bath - boo hoo!! DD1(3.10) goes in the shower (or the baby bath inside the shower) if she is in the baby bath inside the shower i dont leave the room but if just in the shower then we just leave her to it. DD2 (1) never gets left alone in the baby bath.

My friends dd(3.6) climbs in and out of the bath alone. Not for everyone but she is confident that she will be fine.

I am always upstairs when the kids are bathing and only go as far as the bedroom. I wouldn't leave the 2 year old for more than 2 seconds to grab something and I walk backwards to keep an eye on him, but I will leave the 4 and 6 year olds a few seconds longer but I talk to them the whole time and make them answer me.

Do you leave him on his own, Pagwatch?!
Mind you, my dad once broke the lock on the bathroom door with brute force when I was about 15 - he'd been shouting my name, but I was lying with my ears under the water, and he thought I'd drowned. I was shocked - he was furious! Truth is (I've never confessed this before) I did hear him calling me, but chose not to answer to wind him up...
...having been a shitty teenager is going to bite me on the arse when my children are older, isn't it?!

train her to sing all the time, then you will know she is OK
