Good at school and bad at home

My 11 year old son is in year 6, at home disrespectful to me and the rest of the family at home and his behaviour is bad. He does stuff bad to his brother, shouting in his ear, disturbing him constantly when hes asleep or wants to be alone, I once found him spitting on him. He had a nightmare once where he went in his room while he was asleep, started punching his mattress repeatedly while each time shouting his brothers name repeatedly, he could have been punching his brother severely injuring him, it woke him up all confused, pottentially scared, I don't know if that was a nightmare or something he was fully aware he was doing. If it was a nightmare then fine. It's just other stuff too, once he tried to somehow convince me that his brother was a random stranger in our house and tried to explain to pull that off. It's not just with his brother, his behaviour is bad with everyone, he swears, is disrespectful, disobeys us etc.

At school he's the total opposite, he'll respect the teacher's. I've seen him how he acts in school, he acts respectful to his teachers, always obeys, wants to be there on time, wants 100 percent attendance, he wouldnt misbehave in school, he's basically perfect there hes the teachers pet. I would prefer him to be good at home even if it meant a few complaints at school if I did have the choice. My younger son is 9 in year 5like that, we get the odd complaint from school but he's not that bad at home. I just feel a bit offended that my older son is better at school than at home because makes me feel he respects his teachers more than his own family. Im not saying its bad to be good at school like he is but it's not like he's got anything to show for being the, showing teachers pet because he's in year 6 so just about to leave in a few weeks and once he's finished he'll probably never see them teachers again, maybe he will while picking his brother up for the time hes still there. Still it's not like the staff will repay him for the respect, they just get paid and move on to their next students while family he disrespectful us yet we're permanently together. He does favours for teachers which he refuses to do at home like chores etc. In assembly, the kids were suggested to walk to school, use the walking bus for environmental reasons which I get but that would inconvenience the family, as I drive to work so drop my kids off at school as its on the way, if we walked if have to walk them to school then go home for the car just to go back to work which I was there anyway. My son kept asking about walking to school to and wouldnt stop going on. I shouldn't have to change the whole routine just for a suggestion from a random school teacher and just because someone made a suggestion doesn't mean he has to do it.
