10 month old - funny feet/walking!

My 10 month old dd has just recently starting cruising around the furniture and pushing her trolley along the ground. I have noticed that her right food sticks outwards when she walks and she doesn't seem to pick it up as easily as her left food (or she seems to favour the left foot)... Is this something she will grow out of once she's walking properly or should I be worried?

Thanks!!

It is probably fine if she is bearing some weight on it and will resolve itself in time. Did she have a hip check done as part of the routine in either hospital or at one of her hv checks. If you are worried ask the dr whether it is worth referring her for a hip scan.

She's had her hips checked and they were fine. Hopefully, as you say, things will change. She looks very flat footed at the moment - but again, I suspect that's normal!?

Our dd did this when she started cruising and walking with walkers/trolleys at about the same age. As soon as she started walking unaided though it stopped (We really worried about this too at the time!)

Hope this is reassuring! Smile

Hi Amandella, my DS used to stand up with his toes curled underneath! Don't worry at all, your DD will sort herself out.
