Teething at 11 weeks??

My DS will be 11 weeks tomorrow and for the last 7 days or so he has been constantly chewing his fist and drooling. I know this is totally normal for his age however, we have noticed that the left cheek is much redder than the right and we think we have felt something sharp along that side of his gum. We are just a bit skeptical because of his age.

He has also not been great at feeding recently. Not really eating in the morning/early afternoon and if he does, it takes much longer than it used to.

During the night he is generally pretty good. Goes down between 9/10pm until 3/4am but now we are finding every morning at 5:30am ish, he is throwing himself about desperate to get his fist out of his love to dream swaddle and won't settle down great after that but it's almost as if it's in his sleep then he wakes himself up. He doesn't really cry in pain or anything, just seems really frustrated.

Not too sure if it is teething or just him being a baby! Has anyone had any experiences with this?

I think teething at 11 weeks would be unusual but I could be wrong. Mine were well past 6 months. I can't remember how long mine we swaddled for but thought it was only recommended for newborns?

We've just been using the swaddle because he's not showing signs of rolling yet. We also use the nanit breathing monitor so we need to get their version of a sleeping bag so that it works

DD started teething at around 10 weeks, she drooled, chomped on anything she could get her mouth on and cried holding her ears/head. She finally cut her first tooth at 6 months but between 10 weeks and 6 months you could see her teeth moving into position under her gums. She's just been through a hellish few weeks cutting 6 teeth, her poor gums were huge and rock hard from the swelling.

She really liked silicone teethers, nothing too hard and definitely nothing cold. We've had to let her food cool to almost room temperature and spoonfeed her so we can stop the spoon hitting her sore bits. Baby Neurofen right before bed on bad days helped her sleep too x
