Please read - toddler afraid of brother

Hi mums/dad's,
Please please I'm desperate for some advice I have no mum friends in this situation.

My 2 year old (2 years 3 months) is STILL upset by his little brother (10 months). I thought this phase would pass by now and I'm so upset.

Some context: 2yo is technically very good around 10mo, he never hits or screams etc, he never gets upset when baby cries or plays with his toys (mostly, sometimes he'll come up and say "no that's mine" and we'll help him either let baby play or ask for toy back nicely). He will even sometimes say sweet things, only if we ask, eg "say ni ni to brother" and he will, or give brother a kiss (9 times out of 10 he won't but rarely he will). Once or twice in the whole 10 months I've seen him go up to brother on his own terms and give him a toy when he doesn't realise we're watching.

But the bad side is, he genuinely seems terrified of him 99.9% of time. Like if baby is put beside him on couch 2yo will cry and run away and look so upset/afraid??? Or if little brother is blocking a doorway (mid crawl) my 2yo will cry and feel too afraid to squeeze past little brother. He just normally entirely refuses to acknowledge him or play with him.

My 2yo is a very good little boy, very bright and full of energy. He's not in creche yet and is quite timid tbf.

Thank you so so much if you've read this far xx
