Physical developmental delay after Pavlik Harness

I'm just looking for some reassurance really!

My LO is 6.5 months and still not rolling over or sitting unaided. At almost 8 weeks, he had a Pavlik Harness fitted for hip dysplasia. It was removed after three months of permanent wear. That said, his physical development seems to be delayed.

Has anyone had the same experience after their LO had their harness removed? When did they eventually catch up?

No experience but just came to say not rolling or sitting unaided at 6.5 months is completely fine. My DD didn’t roll until 8.5 and didn’t sit unaided (properly) until 9 months so there’s a huge range of normal. I wouldn’t say he’s behind at all, I’d give it a couple more months and I’m sure he’ll be doing it all!

Hi, my baby was in a harness when she was born. She was slightly delayed for physical milestones but once she learned them she became confident really quickly. I can't really remember when she crawled, I think around 7-8 months, but I do remember it took her quite a few weeks to work out how to go forwards 😂. She rolled around the same time.

She walked at around 14 months but picked it up very quickly. We were told not to force her into any positions and not to use any sit in devices like walkers or bumbos so she learned everything totally herself.

She's now nearly 22 months and total chaos. A friend of mine has a girl a couple of months younger who's still not walking with no ddh so the harness doesn't necessarily hinder their development.

I found it really difficult when she first started moving around, I was constantly fearful that she would damage her hips. There is always the fear or regression but now I try to treat her like all the other kids. Her new favourite thing to do is throw herself around at soft play and she has no fear 🙄.
