Extremely fussy/ angry baby. Might be wind?

My daughter is 3 weeks old tomorrow and she is such an angry baby. I work with newborns so I know that something isn't quite right. She's exclusively breastfed (we've tried expressing and bottle but isn't a fan yet).
Her sleep isn't too much of a problem, but whenever she's awake she's just screaming, real angry, purple faced and won't be put down/ really hard to soothe her. It's relentless, she's never just awake and content. She's either asleep or she's screaming and squirming. She has a good latch on the breast but seems to open her mouth every few sucks and swallows a lot of air which I can audibly hear going into her stomach. I do wind her throughout and after each feed but I'm sure it's not all coming back up. She also farts a lot and seems to be in pain whenever she's pooping. Other thing I've thought of is dairy intolerance or something but seems a little young for that. I've tried infacol but that seems to make her vomit...any other suggestions for alternatives?

Hello @ZEWatson and congratulations on your new LO.

From what you said, I'd try to rule out Tongue Tie. Have a look at these symptoms and see what you think Flowers

I feel your pain!! my 8wk old is exactly the same, just really angry and agitated all the time. People always comment how he just won’t sit soundly in their arms. it’s so draining. We have found he does have CPMA and reflux / colic so that may have something to do with it.

It's exhausting and horrible seeing them suffer isn't it!?

yeah absolutely!! it’s so hard and i feel so jealous seeing other placid calm babies on socials and when out and about! I just have no idea what else to do, apart from let him grow out of it? And just hope he’s a happy toddler haha
