Autism

So my MIL thinks my 16 month old may be autistic. She's meeting and exceeding all her milestones, except the social ones.
She doesn't make a lot of eye contact, point or wave hello or goodbye.
She says one word and babbles. She walked at 10 months.
She is obsessed with a certain cartoon series and has a meltdown within about 15-20 mins if it's not on. She climbs the furniture and plays with toys but the cartoon has to be on the tv.
I'm looking for some insight. Is this normal or is it looking in the direction of autism? Tyin

That's great I was hoping that would happen with my boy aswell ive taken him to a few different drs now and they all seem to think he has autism and may never speak they told me it's better to never have had words than to have them and lose them

Thank you but honestly I don't mind if DD is neurodivergent in any way. I love her unconditionally and endlessly regardless

I get you we are the same now aswell took a bit to get the head around but really makes no difference at all once he gets all the supports he deserves to make life a bit easier

Update: she is 3.5 years old and definitely autistic. We are awaiting assessment but she'll definitely get diagnosed 🤷‍♀️ it's fine
