Hey, FTM over here!

I've noticed my little boy flaps hands/twists wrist and make an 'uhhh uhhh' noise. I think I'm seeing a pattern as this happening when tired/annoyed/frustrated?

He babbles only when having a teething toy/finger foods he can bite down on in his mouth? Although, he used to be quite a noisey chap before and at 6 months he the odd 'da da' sounds and we hit 7 months and I've noticed it's tailed off.

He is now teething and seem to be in pain, learning to crawl and meeting all other milestones - interested in toys & passes them between hands, smiles at people, laughs, 50% of the time responds to his name (depends how pre occupied he is), looks around for sounds, stands when being supported, gives kisses, eye contact, waving sometimes and claps.

I guess the twisty wrist and the throat noise is more signs of early autism (or so dr Google has said) along with losing the babbling (other than when he's got something in his Mouth for teething - hand, food or teether - so wanted to know if other babies did this and what was the outcome?

Is this normal? I've contact HV for a hearing test as I'm starting to lose sleep over it 😞

I want to just be able to support him the best I can!

Thank you

Please don't lose sleep over this. There is no Doctor that will assess a baby this young and in all probability he's Neurotypical and even if he isn't, worrying now and missing your precious time with him won't affect anything.

@PritiPatelsMaker

I know, you're absolutely right and even if he was to end up being autistic, it doesn't change a single thing about us loving him.. it's just so exhausting constantly checking for signs and I wish I could stop and like you say, just enjoy him!

Only time will tell & I think I need to stay off 'dr google'!
