Hi all,

My 6 month old has been referred to physio this week as he’s behind on his gross motor skills. He can’t push up on arms, still has a slight wobbly head, didn’t roll up to this week, appears to be a long way off sitting, doesn’t bear weight on legs most of the time, if he does it’s only slight and his feet aren’t flat on the ground.

His fine motor skills are good, communication is good.

When he was born and up to 3 months he only looked and laid down one way, GP said numerous times all normal. His head is flat on one side because of this. I started doing my own PT at home to help turn his head which worked as I suspected torticollis.

he has bad reflux, constantly sick with movement!

if I give him a toy he does reach out work both arms, he appears to kick evenly on his back and he seems to have a lot of grip strength and kicks hard.

I’ve noticed if I roll him or he rolls he can’t get his left arm out from under him, he also has “waiters tip” left arm but not all of the time. I had an uneventful birth although the pushing stage was quick and he came in 20 mins. He was jaundice which required Light therapy twice. We both had suspected sepsis when he was born (my waters went early, I suspect this was cause) nothing had been noted at birth that could cause any long term issues.

when I look back at photos you can tell his posture, specifically his left side is not right (can’t believe I missed it in the photos)

any cp mums I’d appreciate any advice/signs ect!

Hi @Sweetk0987poiu ! I appreciate it has been a while since you posted, no advise but I’m wondering if you ever got a diagnosis for your bubba? I’m slightly worried about my daughter, she tends to prefer one side and doesn’t move one arm from under her when she rolls…

@SnowBall86 sorry just seen your reply! He did have slight nerve damage in the arm but since has had physio and it eventually has got better on it’s own thankfully and now has full movement! 😄 the paediatrician reckons he was born with a flat head on one side from lying on the bone which wouldn’t of helped with the side preference! Hope everything’s ok for you now x
