Going to the Swimming Pool with 6 week old DS - Advice Please

We want to take DS to the swimming pool on Sunday. ( I have checked with the HV and this is fine).

Does anyone have any advice to give us on doing this?

Just thought I would give you all an update.

We went yesterday, DH & DS. The advice you all gave was great, as it meant that I was prepared getting into the pool and more importantly getting out. It went quite smoothly, and the preparation before hand was a work out in its self!!

DS loved it, and it also meant that DH had time to interact with him as well. There were 3 other babies in the water too, a bit older than DS.

He was absolutely shattered in the afternoon, and slept very well. We are all looking forward to this being a weekly outing!
