Sticky out ears

Not sure if this type of post is allowed but my LO is 10 weeks old and has inherited my sticky our years. I have lived my life absolutely hating my ears - I never ever wear my hair up and I was bullied terribly at school. I’d like to avoid this for my LO. Does anyone have experience of using eat splints? Of course I need to caveat by saying I think my LO is gorgeous and I’m not a vain person is the slightest but if my parents could have fixed my years as a baby it would honestly have changed my life

Hi, once your small person is old enough their ears can be pinned back. Mine were done when I was ten years old on the NHS because they stuck out terribly and I was being bullied at school. I don't know if you can still have it done on the NHS but my parents said it made the world of difference to my self esteem. I had to change schools to stop the bullying but after that I never looked back. Best of luck x

I have seen friends use the Ear Buddies splints for two different cosmetic issues with the ear and the results were
very impressive. Neither child seemed bothered by the process from what I gathered.

Thanks both. I saw ear buddies but they are quite expensive so wanted to see if they worked before committing to buy them x

My dd has very protruding ears. We tried ear buddies and some other sticky things. Didn't work. Apparently it works best when done in the first week or so of life...so too late for you as well.
I hope we can get dds ears pinned when she's around 5 to prevent bullying.

I just wanted to try to calm your thoughts . I looked into the splints for my second daughter as I felt sure her ears were protruding (both me and my husband don’t have the “flattest” of ears!). But as she’s got older - she’s now 18 months - she has definitely “grown into” her ears. I think sometimes ears can just look bigger on little bald babies!
