Hi ladies,
My nearly five week old formula feed baby hasn’t had a poo in a little over 24hrs. When should i be worried? Is this normal? Or do I call the health Visitor/doctors?
She’s still having her regular feeds and sleeping like normal, producing wet nappies just concerned she hasn’t pooped when normally she has at least two a day??
Please help calm me down! Xx

I think I read that after 6 weeks, babies can go down to just one poop per day. Plus FF babies poop less often than BF babies.

If it's only been 24 hours, I wouldn't worry. There's babies in my baby group that sometimes don't poop for nearly a week. If it goes on another few days, I'd consult your HV or GP.

Have a look on YouTube for videos how to massage baby's tummy, that should help.

A cranial osteopath will also be able to get things moving. I've seen instant results with my little one with treatments, literally pooping during a treatment (massive poo explosion as well, came out the back of her nappy and out through the leg holes!!!) plus the osteopath can help with a lot of other stuff with baby too.

I hope little one gets some relief soon

I don't think there's anything to worry about. at this age, children are not so often able to pee and poop. My child had problems with the urinary reproductive system and the doctor told me to give him cranberry juice, but after that he often pooped. I began to wonder does cranberry juice make you poop, but the doctor told me that it was possible because of the pomegranate juice, which I also gave him. therefore, if your child has problems with defecation, then you should give him pomegranate juice.
