My three year old doesn't eat one vegetable or piece of fruit

Hi all, I know it's normal for kids to be fussy eaters, and my eldest was too and grew out of it, but my 3 year old DS seems to be taking things to a new level! He will not eat one bit of vegetable, or one piece of fruit. It's the fruit bit that I find the most odd - I've never known a kid to not eat a banana or a strawberry. He used to eat strawberries, up until about a year ago, now won't touch them or anything else. I am worried about his nutrition. This is what he eats:

A small amount of dry cereal for breakfast, such as rice crispy shapes or Shreddies, but NO milk.
Will drink oat milk on it's own though.
Yoghurt
Cheese
Bread (marmite sandwiches, mainly, or marmite toast)
Raisins
Kiddylicious oat bars/Soreen apple or banana bars
Breaded fish or breaded chicken for dinner (try to buy the kid's version from M&S as has less salt etc)
Hummous
Occasionally he will try a bit of my homemade pizza - this is the only time he gets any goodness as I make the sauce and it's just basically blended up veg. Unfortunately he won't eat much of it.

And that's it, obviously he likes to eat crisps, choc etc, but I'm not adding that to the list as he doesn't have much of it, of course.

We've tried EVERYTHING to get him to eat more, so I'm not looking for advise on that, what I want to know is - did anything else have a kid that ate this little and did it cause any problems? Or did they grow out of it? Do you think it's a massive concern that a child of that age has no fruit or veg?

Note - I do give a multi vitamin to him every day, not sure how much that helps.

Thank you
Stephanie

No advice bit I'm in the same situation. The only way that I can get any vitamins into him is by making smoothies and giving a daily multi vitamin. I've made some smoothie ice lollies today and I'm hoping he will eat those as he absolutely adores ice lollies.

If you dont get many responses here, maybe try one of the busier boards and see I'd you have any luck there. X

My daughter who is 2.5 won't eat much fruit or veg, just a couple of each, but will eat the puree fruit pouches. Not ideal at her age but better than nothing. The asda ones are about 50p. It's pretty much the best we can do and I am really hoping she grows out of it. She used to eat loads of fruit and one day literally just stopped. No idea why. A friend's child was the same, he is now 7 and eats a wide variety of foods so that gives me hope.

Thanks for your reply ladies. I tried giving him my own made smoothies but he didn't like them, although he does like the Ella's Kitchen ones so one day I had a brain wave and squirted out all the Ella's Kitchen pouch and then - with much difficulty - put in my own smoothie with spinach and apples etc, icing an icing bag. And it didn't work! He had a taste and threw it 🤣🤣🤣 ha ha Why do we bother.

Maybe I'll try smoothies again though. One thing that put me off was that my doctor said they're bad for their teeth, but surely it's still a good way so get some fruit and veg in!!!

Don't worry, my DN lived off coco pops and toast up until the age of 6, he's a 6'2 strapping healthy lad now. Proper foodie too.
DS was also horrific, fish fingers and ham for about 2 years, now eats EVERYTHING.
Its very worrying when its happening and I feel your pain
DD was an amazing eater as a toddler, scallops, fish, radish, mushrooms she won't touch any of that now. from the age of 8 refused any veg, loves fruit though.
