Hello all
My DD was combination fed and I genuinely didn't expect her to have much interest in breastfeeding past her first birthday. However around her first birthday, she was feeding quite frequently. At the time I was pleasantly surprised and didn't mind. But as time has gone on, I feel like I'm cluster feeding a newborn. Unless we are out, she will keep asking to breastfeed sometimes every 5-10 minutes (honestly I'm not exaggerating). I honestly enjoyed breastfeeding but this extreme frequency is driving me up the wall. Is there a reason she's being like this? If I refuse/tell her there isn't any milk, she has an endless tantrum and it's just easier for me to give in. I'm getting nothing done at home. Please tell me if I'm missing something. She has oat milk in a sippy cup happily so it's not like she isn't getting any other milk.

My 2 were totally different. At this age I've fed twice a day and was easily distracted if they ever asked for more and the other was more insistent and wanted it often.

According to this from Kellymom I think it's pretty normal either way.

Some things that might help are only feeding her in one chair and then never sitting there.

Offering her a nice drink instead like some diluted fruit juice, hot chocolate or maybe a homemade lolly.

Going out a lot abs if she asks for it say "we do that at home don't we?" and give her something else instead.

OP - off topic, but why are you giving her oat milk?

It's really high in salt, has less calcium (and the calcium it has in it is less well absorbed), no vitamin A and E and less protein. Under 2's need full fat milk.
