Aptamil pepti

My 3 month old has been on aptamil pepti 1 for just over two weeks for possible CMPA (prescribed by GP). The wait for the dietitian on the NHS is 21 weeks (I've emailed a private one to ask if they can help). She was having watery moucousy poos before this formula and they have now turned into a thicker consistency but are HUGE. Never seen anything like it. Sometimes doesn't poo for a few days or sometimes it's one a day but she is so uncomfortable and screams trying to poo. Her farts have got more smelly and so frequent and she screams when farting. The past three days have been on/off crying all day. She isn't a happy baby and the thought of going anywhere with her isn't fun as would be so stressful. She is being sick a lot still (using carobel to thicken it as so watery but hasn't helped). She is so overtired as now her night sleep has been impacted (frequency waking or not settling back after her feed). She has always napped badly. They were getting a bit better but are now back to 30 min naps where she wakes screaming ( clearly still tired) but cannot get herself back to sleep or be re settled. She gets herself to sleep for naps and bedtime which is a bonus. Help!!! Should I go back on to normal formula, see if GP will prescribe something else or hold out? I hate seeing her In pain.

It may be that she needs even more broken down formula (which do exist btw) or even there's an alternative diagnosis. I'd see your GP again. X

I'd also be keeping an extra close eye on her growth as this is the number one factor in exploring these kindof issues

Thanks @Jannt86. Going to call the GP again tomorrow to ask them but they never really seem to know as obviously it's not their speciality. We can try though. Weight wise she is definitely getting bigger (two chins now. Haha) so I don't worry about her weight gain so obviously some/most of the milk must be staying in.
