11wo cries after bathtime

My 11 week old loves having a bath, lots of splashing and smiling. When we take her out and put her on a towel she starts crying, even if we wrap her up well. She continues to cry until she's dressed.

Is this to do with the change in temp? Or the sensation of the towel becoming damp? Any advice?

mine were the same. think it's a bit of both, but cold mainly. it will pass as whe gets a bit older. maybe try to dry her in the other room with more heat, maybe fan heater?

DS done this for ages. Putting a towel on the radiator/towel heater seemed to help. Although when he got older he realised getting out of the bath meant bed and a great big feed. I think he got himself wound up with the anticipation of it all!

DS went through phases of this around the same age (made worse by the fact we had to spend ages putting creams on for his eczema). I think a lot of it was due to tiredness. We found that giving him a dummy, or DH's finger to suck on, helped keep him calm until he was dressed, also we sang a lot of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!

dd was like that too. I think it was cold - even though our bathroom is really warm you still feel cold when you come out the bath. We would have a towel to dry her quickly with then change over to a warm towel from teh radiator and a cuddle and she would calm down a bit. She would also be tired and probably getting hungry! We would put her fist in her mouth and she would suck it until we got her dressed! It does pass - she's still a bit grumpy when she comes out the bath cos she wants milk and bed but we do now get some smiles!

Thanks for the advice. I will try putting the towel on the radiator and see how we get on.
