HELP!!! 2 yo won't stay in bed

DD2 (2) has been in bed for six months but tonight she won't stay in her bed. keeps coming down laughing thinking it's a great game. Don't really need any advice, just sympathy. My little legs are tired from constantly taking her straight back up. Most nights she is fine but about twice a week she finds it hilarious to spend all night bed hopping and disturbing whole house. I am so grateful she is not grisly, but when the living room door bursts open and she has a hairbrush and hair bobbles asking for her hair to be done 'pwetty', not really amused Am at home with her all day so would really relish the break. Nights like this I know she will also crawl into bed beside me at 2 am saying 'love you mummy'. before riding me like a horse while prising my eyelids open

I'm assuming you are doing the silent return to bed?

Have you tried putting a toy into bed and reminding her that he will get very lonely if she leaves him because he's scared of the dark?

Sorry you are going through this. Kids and sleep eh? The amount of scampering, you'd think they would be more tired

I am going through this with my 2yo - who is also the second. I cannot put a stairgate on his door as he shares with ds1, so tonight I am putting a stairgate on MY door >

my stairgate is a moveable pressure one - even the 4 yo can't shift it. still - better that than buying another bed which one of my friends did when her dd wouldn't stay in her own bed..... at the time I couldn't understand it, but now with no sleep I can too. Maybe tonight I should just save time and sleep on the sofa, which is where I ended up last night after everyone piled into my bed!
