Does anyone watch 'The House of Tiny Tearaways'?

I love it and have got some good ideas from it. A question tho - can anyone remember the 'steps' that the psychologists used before timeout. It went something like Ignore... Distract... Warning... Timeout. Have I missed any as my dh wants to know?
Thx

no idea - but is ignore really the first step? What if they are doing something dangerous or unspeakably vile?

Yeah, I'm watching it, but it's more of a telly freak show and less helpful this time round IMO, though I do like both the new psychologists.

Regarding the "steps" before timeout, they're not really steps, so much as levels that you match your reaction to according to how bad the behaviour is - ignore minor things, distract them from annoying things etc. etc. You don't have to work through all the options to get to timeout - e.g. hitting goes straight into timeout, no warning (because child knows hitting is wrong and it wouldn't be right to let the situation escalate while you warn them).

I don't think you've missed anything out from what was on the original programme; think there were four.

i must say i think tanya byron got better results from the chldren.

what about the big family. those poor kids. the mum seems a bit odd to me.

kids will always listen to no relations though.

it's a bit of a tv gimmick
