I’m at my wits end at the moment,

14 month old used to be a dream in the mornings, would get up, play, little bit of TV and then breakfast.

He’d have porridge/weetabix and then some toast. The last few mornings though his behaviour has been nothing but whining, crying, refuses to eat. I’m at my wits end. I’ve done everything for him, made different things, added different things to the porridge to see if it’s that and nothings working.

Is there a regression at this age??
He isn’t speaking yet (being checked for possibly needing gromits) my husbands becoming quite annoyed and we know it’s not his fault (DS) but it’s just becoming frustrating not knowing what’s going on with him.

Please help.

The bad news is that he's probably sickening for something. Give him a dose of Calpol tomorrow morning and see if he settles better.

I'm more worried about your husband though. Why is he getting angry with a small child?

He's a BABY. He'll have off days. Could be a mild illness or teething or just development. Just hakuna your matatas and offer lots of cuddles and if he doesn't eat he will when he's hungry. Grin You're doing great just let it be and he'll be back to himself in no time I'm sure xx

Oh my goodness, if this is the first time in 14 months you’ve experienced ‘off’ behaviour then you are blessed! My DS has spells like this probably monthly, has done since he could make noises for himself! Could be teething, could be illness, could be developmental, could just be baby being a baby! It’ll pass, but tell your DH he needs to keep cool. There will be more phases as he approaches toddlerhood.
