Where can I find a huge pushchair?

Hi, I have a 2.5 year old daughter who has just grown out of her pushchair that is ment to go up to age 4. She is very tall for her age. We don't often use the pushchair any more, but as I don't drive twice a week I walk in to town and back which is about 10 miles in total and we live on a huge hill. She can't walk all that way and our busses are very expensive. Does anyone know where I can get a big pushchair that will last her another year at least?.

I found my older/larger toddlers fit into a Silver Cross Wayfarer pushchair very comfortably.
Silver Cross Wayfarer example.

tbh i was just gonna reccomend a silver cross i dunno what a wayfarer is but i got a classic sleepover and i actually sat my then 5 yr old in it cos they said it would go up to 5 and he did fit my lo is now 2 and everyone who sees him says how comfy and warm he looks and it anice push but it is a liitle heavy but got a massive basket underneath i wouldnt be without mine and when i se do rarely see others with it they all say the same and i am a pram addict

my nearly 5 year old fits in my Urban Detour 3 wheeler.

ChopsterRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 14/12/2007 18:21

another vote for the urban detour. Ds1 was still in that at 4 with plenty of room.

Maclaren techno - my friend used her with her DS (who has special needs) until he was 6.

minnisota · 16/12/2007 17:49

I had a Mclaren Techno. DS used it until he was 3.5 when DD arrived. I now have a Cossato Monaco (from Babies R Us) which is wider than usual.

Big kid, big walk imo you need big wheels. I find it far easier to push a bigger one for a while in big air filled tyres.

Second hand urban detour would do the trick.

Thanks everyone, I'm looking in to all these makes. Maybe I'll find one on e-bay. Urban detour sounds/ looks good.

Hello, if you're interested we have an Urban Detour 3 Wheeler (from mothercare) for sale, it needs a really good clean, and has a little tear in the shopping basket, but comes with a cosytoes and raincover. It's £30, and we live in Somerset.

CloudsEnd · 04/01/2008 01:11

I have a Silver Cross Wayfarer in excellent condition. It comes with cosy toes, rain cover, a pram net, shoppping basket and the instruction manual. Ideal for a large toddler and comfortable too.
I'm selling it for £45 and live in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.

NorthernLurker · 04/01/2008 01:15

I found the urban detour to be very good too - dd2 in it up to age four and it still lokked to have some miles left in it

twentypence · 04/01/2008 01:24

10 miles - you need a mountain buggy or something else with air in the tyres. I know loads of 5 year olds that still fit in theirs.

ds has this and it's really big!

Flllightattendant · 04/01/2008 08:09

Or a second hand easylife sport. They are brilliant.
Regularly go for under 50 quid on ebay, they are 300 new!

moondog · 04/01/2008 08:11
