An acquaintance of ours came over yesterday afternoon with his daughter. I was out on the verandah, pushing ds (4) on the swing. Dh came outside with friend and his daughter, and we all stood around talking for a while. Ds was very quiet for about 20 mins, just listening to everything. Then all of a sudden he says "Mummy, I want those people to go away". Everything went quiet, and then ds said "I want them to go away. Can they go inside please Mummy?" When we tried to laugh it off (I was feeling just a TAD embarrassed at this point), ds pointed at the door and said loudly, "GO!" - as though ordering them off the property. I felt terrible. I apologised to them and took ds aside later & told him not to speak to people like that in future, & that it wasn't nice to tell visitors to go away.
Has this kind of thing happened to anyone else or is my son just behaving like a little brat?! He normally likes people coming over and he's usually quite friendly, but I don't know what came over him. I just hope they weren't offended
