Increased clumsiness at 14 months

Quick question. My DS started walking around 13 months and has progressed from walking like a chimp, standing and sitting down rather gingerly, to charging around. However, I have noticed that recently, he falls over his feet and is much clumsier. Is this normal, or could it be linked to something more sinister eg linked to any vaccinations he's had recently. I don't think he has an ear infection. thanks

Is he growing much at the moment? My DD always falls over more when she's just grown.

Like a weed, but hadn't really noticed a sudden spurt. I'm assuming that because he can get around faster, his brain hasn't quite caught up, so he is more careless.

DD is 15 months & has been walking for 3 months - she is trying to do more dophisticated things now whe is more confident walking so falls over a lot - ie trying to run - stand on one leg - climb over things that are a bit ambitious etc etc

Could it just be over ambition with your ds too??

Quite possibly - my child minder keeps telling me how 'single minded' he is - I think she means stubborn, but is just being nice! Also, if he's like me, if he's told he can't do something, he will keep on trying until he succeeds (or loses a digit or something!)
