Bottle feeding 6 week old

This is the first time I've posted here so I'm unsure with the acronyms or even if I've posted in the right place 🙈. My little girl is 6 weeks old but was 3 weeks early. She is doing really well and gaining weight. She can be a bit unsettled/fussy every now and again and can cry for around 3 hours in the evenings, my Heath visitor has said it could be colic, although it's not every evening. I am bottle feeding and each week she has been taking more ounces up to 4oz every 3 hours. However this past week she has became a bit unpredictable. She seems to be sleeping 4 hours at a time (sometimes I have to wake her for a bottle) when she does feed she can take anything from 1oz to 4oz sometimes she falls straight back to sleep and other times she cries and seems in pain. I've been using infacol and she does some big burps and trumps after feeding.

Is this something to be worried about? Any advice would greatly help this first time mum who is driving herself crazy googling stuff!!

Hi, it sounds totally normal to me. My little one was just like this, and while I know it’s hard for you it doesn’t sound like anything you need to be worried about.
At this age they still have night and day mixed up, so the only thing that might help is to work on that, so then Essentially they feed more frequently through the day and then sleep for longer stretches at night.
Lots of daylight during the day where you can and very dark/hushed voices etc during nighttime feeds.
Keeping them upright after feeds for 20mins or so can really help with wind/reflux.
Also if they could be going through a bit of a development which can cause them to be fussier but does ultimately then result in things settling down again after a few days.

Hope that helps x
