My ds is almost 2.5 yo and has always been high needs, attention seeking and bloody exhausting. I see friends and family's toddlers and compare him to them and it feels like my lo is 50x harder to manage and entertain compared to other toddlers his age. We had our 30 month review although DS was 28 months and our HV mentioned she didn't have concerns.

For the past few days DS has been even more difficult compared to his normal self where he moans, whinges and does the terrible 2's stuff. His been constantly crying, shouting at the top of his lungs and just seems very different for the past few days. His final molars are due and I just wanted to know if this could be related to that? Also, I have given up Bf last week although he has been ok and has formed a new attachment with a cuddly toy but could this behaviour also be due to giving up bf as well? If this continues the constant crying ofcourse I will seek professional help as this isn't his normal self but I wanted to ask just in case it might be the molars.

Thank you for reading.

If his behaviour has changed suddenly abs you think he may be teething, have you tried a dose of ibruprofen to see if it improves his demeanour?

I've given him ibuprofen today and he went back to his old self with the good old whinging and moaning.

Following as I'm in exactly the same position. I also just posted about it. I really hope it's a phase.

He wakes up happy and that's pretty much the only time I ever see him happy and then becomes needy, grumpy and just moans and then towards late noon, he becomes possessed where he just shouts, cry's and throws things. His difficult as it is but I couldn't tell if his molars were due or not because with his previous teeth, he would hold his mouth and signal but this time around he hasn't and I wasn't sure if this demonic behaviour is related to his molars or not.

But ibuprofen helped where he was much more settled and back to his needy self so it's obvious he was in pain.
