I have a 12 month old and I know you shouldn't compare children.
But I would just like to hear from other about this

So my LO is a very vocal little one. He can say mama, dada, and our cats name and is always make noises and sounds.

He isn't the best eater and likes to throw food on the floor, he will be spoon fed and loves breakfast.
He loves snacks and some finger foods.
But I have noticed he isn't really chewing food he just sucks it.
So when eating food with lumps he will spit that out.

He loves anything that spins and spots wheels a mile off on trolleys or pushchairs if we are shopping and wants to get down to them.

He doesn't really cry when he hurts himself and will sometimes moan for a short time then that's it.

He has major tantrums and throws himself backwards.
He hates his nappy being done.

He understands some things we say and ask him.
He sometimes waves but doesn't clap yet and had pointed once.

He has good eye contact now so that isn't a worry anymore but doesn't always respond to his name...more not than does probably.

He smiles and laughs at others.
He loves books and people reading to him and enjoys songs and often has a little dance to them.

He can walk with a walker or holding hands but not alone yet.

All advice or own experiences welcome.
Thanks

Advice about what OP? You haven't said that you have a problem.

Is this normal for a 12 month old?
Has anyone seen these things with their LO?

He doesn't chew food, only sucks it
He doesn't cry when you think something would hurt him
He is obsessed with spinning things. Wheels.
He has temper tantrums
He doesn't really respond to his name

Are you asking if his development is normal for his age?
My answer would be yes.

If you are worried about his lack of responding to his name (and this needs to be consistently not responding after 3 name calls) then maybe speak to you health visitor. She will likely want to do a hearing check.

Everything else seems within normal limits of development to me xxx
