Do you mean pram to buggy?

Mine is 6 months, and I swapped the pram for the seat unit on our big pram about 6 weeks ago, so he was about 4-5 months. It was because he liked to sit up a little bit, and the seat unit does recline almost flat so he could lie down when asleep.

I still don't use an actual buggy - the sort like a Maclaren or something - as the pavements here are really rough and it shakes about so much. I need suspension lol. The big pram has air tyres which I think babies benefit from.

I would guess when he is about 1 or so, I might start using one of those.

HTH!

guess it's to early for me!!

yes i meant from pram to buggy.

my lo is 3 months old but born 2 months premature and he when he is in his pram there only seems to be a few inches of space left for him. I'm starting to think the pram isn't going to be big enough for him to get to 4-5 months. Cos he was 2 months prem he is only 1 month old developmentally - and i assume this will affect his sitting up ability. I have a silver cross 3d which converts from a pram to a buggy

Depends how far back the buggy will recline. We have a M&P pramette and turned it into a buggy when ds was about 3 months (although he was 6 weeks prem so was developmentally a bit younger). It reclined pretty far back, although not completely flat, and he was fine, looked very comfy and enjoyed looking out at the world!

I'd assume your lo is his adjusted age and err on the side of caution. It isn't at all good for very young babies to be in anything other than a lie-flat pram for very long. Yes nearer five or six months it will be fine to move him.

Have you thought about using a baby carrier? I used a Kari-Me when DS was little (stretchy wrap type carrier) and it was fab.

Found all types of buggy far less convenient, and DS much preferred the carrier too. It's beneficial for babies too - lots of physical contact, and eye contact, talking etc.

Just a thought!
