because i came pretty close today

had to get home quickly

ds1 had a mahoosive tantrum and did that hip-thrust-i'm-staying-like-a-banana thing

took brute force to get him into the car seat

it crossed my mind to drive home with him loose int the back

i can't be the only one...?

DS1 was just starting this phase in the summer. One day just as I was about to give up and stuff him in the boot, I spied two community police officers across the street. I mee-mawed to them to come over. By this time ds1 is dancing about on the front passenger seat. Community police officer leans in the window and said 'why are you not in your car seat little boy?'
I still laugh now at the childs poor shocked contrite face - and telling him that the police man will come still gets him sitting down sharpish

hmmmmm.... very crafty! I used the same threat when my son started using some distasteful words now everytime my poor husband gets roadrage and mutters under his breath he's got this little voice behind him chiruping 'I'm going to tell the policeman of you daddy!' again and again
